Nebraska Enterprise Fund is a private, non-profit organization that was formed in 1994 to support small and micro business development. Micro businesses include self-employed, start-up, home-based or other small businesses with ten or fewer employees. NEF serves Nebraska as the statewide microenterprise intermediary. NEF is a Certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides capital to programs and in participation with other lenders, and provides gap financing for businesses.
